The 1935 Pacific International Exposition featured a Nudist Colony!

The 1935 Pacific International Exposition in Balboa Park in San Diego, California featured the Zoro Gardens Nudist Colony.

The nudist exhibit was designed to explain to the general public the ideals and advantages of natural outdoor life."

Protests came from the San Diego Council of Catholic Women and the Women's Civic Center which wanted the nudity stopped. They were unsuccessful.
